Beam of Hope Care...
is a privately owned domiciliary care service, based in Leicestershire. We offer personalised home care service to People With Lived Experience (PWLE) focusing on preserving their dignity and choice to remain living in their own homes, whilst retaining some level of independence. We provide care and support to adults from the age of 18 and upwards; this includes:
- Older people
- People with learning disabilities and learning difficulties
- People with mental health difficulties
- People with physical support needs
- People with dementia People at the end of life
- People with neurological disorders
Beam of Hope Ltd reflects values that focus on the people we support. Our work seeks to maximise independence of every individual we support.
We take safeguarding of vulnerable people seriously and are committed to protecting PWLE in our care from any type of abuse. We have policies and procedures in place for this. We subscribe to safer recruitment and ensure we undertake a robust recruitment process. All our staff will need to undergo a DBS check prior to commencing work with us and we also ask staff to provide a full employment history. We support all our service users to be aware of procedures for making a complaint, compliment, and comments with assurance that they will be listened to, and action taken in line with our procedures. Our service believes in learning from mistakes in order to deliver a better and improved service. We have a responsibility to ensure openness and transparency when any safety incident occurs. Our staff are guided by the principles set out in the Equality Act 2010.

Support we offer:
Beam of Hope Care Ltd provides individualised care that ranges from personal care to essential domestic support services. The service we provide will vary as each care package is tailored to the needs of the individual. Examples of some of the services we offer:
- Assistance with dressing/grooming/bathing
- Help with personal care.
- Assisting with getting in and out of bed
- Preparation of meals and drinks
- Support with continence care
- Assistance with mobility needs
- Administration/ Support of medication
- Support with hospital discharge transition back home
- Assistance with domestic tasks
- Assistance to arrange medical and professional appointments and assistance to attend these appointments.

- Support to undertake activities in the community.

Our principles
Our staff receive an induction to the service. This involves mandatory training and anything that may be specific to the person they support such as dealing with challenging behaviours and complex moving and handling.
We will pay attention to the following:
- Assessment of needs prior to taking package of care.
- Preferences of PWLE.
- Recognising training opportunities for staff.
- Setting staff development plans.
- Implementing staff coaching, mentoring, appraisals, and supervisions.
- Completion of staff spot checks to ensure care is delivered to the desired standards.
- Provision of consistent, person-centred care.
- Staff having access to On Call systems.
- Involving PWLE in the delivery of their package of care.
- Involve PWLE in making decision around their care.
- Protecting the rights of those subject to the MHA provisions.
